Gender Based Violence Process

The Gender-Based Violence (GBV) program focuses on addressing violence against women and marginalized communities. Through awareness, education, and empowerment, the program challenges patriarchal/social norms and promotes gender equality. We also engage with local organizations, providing training and resources to combat violence and support survivors.

What Do We Do?

The Gender-Based Violence Programme focuses on raising awareness about the prevalence of violence against women and marginalized groups, offering education on gender equality, and challenging social norms. The program advocates for policy changes to protect vulnerable populations, while also promoting leadership among women and marginalized groups. By building networks of support, the initiative aims to transform communities and create long-term cultural shifts toward gender equality and justice.

Our Community Case Registration Center (CRC) model is designed to support communities in addressing and managing cases of gender-based violence. This model establishes local centers where survivors can report incidents, receive support, and access resources. By creating an ecosystem of support, the CRC model ensures a compassionate and efficient response to violence, offering immediate assistance and fostering a more responsive and accountable system. It aims to build a robust network of support for women fighting against violence, enhancing the effectiveness and reach of interventions within the community.

The CRC model is a community-driven approach that focuses on addressing violence and gender issues at the grassroots level. It empowers local organizations and leaders to create safe spaces, provide support, and advocate for systemic change. In addition, we operate the Savitri Bai Legal Aid Counseling Center (SLACC), a dedicated resource for offering legal aid and counseling services to survivors of violence. SLACC plays a crucial role in providing guidance, emotional support, and legal assistance, ensuring access to justice for those in need.
