Grassroots Leadership Development Program (GLDP)

The GLDP, conceptualised and designed by CORO, has been implemented in Maharashtra since 2008 and in Rajasthan since 2015.

About The Program

The Grassroots Leadership Development Programme (GLDP) turns dreams into reality for those often overlooked. CORO guides fellows in creating local projects for better access to resources, improved livelihoods, and promoting equality and human rights. The impact of GLDP is enduring, as 90% of fellows continue their advocacy, making communities self-reliant.

How GLDP Works?

Our fellowship initiative pulses with purpose, nurturing grassroots leaders to evolve and amplify their capabilities. It’s a voyage from questioning inequalities to metamorphosing into architects of transformation. This journey sparks a three-fold revolution: personal prowess, united communities, and reimagined societies.

Who Does It Benefit?

Individual

We delve into grassroots territories, uncovering and emboldening individuals to challenge injustices and engineer societal change.

Community

We cultivate community-based entities and local ecosystems, fostering opportunities that breed inclusive growth.

Society

We dismantle ingrained behaviours and wield influence to reshape government policies on social, economic, and environmental matters.

The GLDP Model

At the core of the Grassroots Leadership Development Programme, GLDP, lies a straightforward model: unearth, empower, and enrich emerging champions. This model operates through five pivotal phases: Recruit, Train, Support, Act, and Multiply.
