Yuva Manthan
The Yuva Manthan initiative goes beyond fostering a supportive environment for girls, actively challenging entrenched patriarchal norms.
About the Program
Addressing the concern of young boys causing trouble to girls in the community, CORO has launched a program to engage boys, fostering positive behavioural change and transforming them into advocates for societal transformation. This initiative not only creates a supportive environment for girls at home and in the community but also challenges prevailing patriarchal norms.
Who Does the Program Benefit?
This intervention caters to both boys and girls. By involving young men and boys, the program disrupts the perpetuation of patriarchal norms, curbing the dominance of girls and women by male family members. It instils a sense of responsibility and accountability in young men, empowering them as agents of positive change. Additionally, the program serves as an engaging phase for CORO’s “Learning Community” and “Yuva Manthan program,” where young women actively contribute to addressing key social issues and participate in the Girls Advisory Council meeting in Delhi.
